Twenty new units coming at Westhampton Homes

WESTLAKE – Despite a struggling real estate market, plans for new single-family row homes and lofts are in the works at Westhampton Homes. From upscale homes to trendy lofts, The Coral Company has big plans for the flourishing Crocker Park complex’s residential section.

Twenty new homes with price tags starting at $309,000 are slated to be complete by the end of 2011, according to Joan Mennett, The Coral Company’s vice president of marketing. Additions to the SOHO Lofts, Hyde Park Lofts and Manor Homes, all part of Westhampton, will comprise the 2011 residential expansion.

As the country slowly bounces back from the economic recession, expert investor Warren Buffet predicts that the housing market will slowly begin to gain ground in 2011. However, Mennett said that if these new homes are anything like their existing counterparts, selling them won’t be much of a problem even if 2011’s housing market doesn’t sparkle. “The homes sell out quickly. We’ve already pre-sold eight of them,” she said. “The homes will range from 1,632 to 3,000 square feet in living space,” Mennett said. “The lofts feature three floors and the homes feature basements, a main floor and upper floor.”

Mennett said that all properties feature rooftop decks and feature two to three bedrooms each, with an option for a fourth bedroom in the manor homes.“Westhampton Homes will have 125 units when it is completed,” said Mennett, who added that the complex will likely be finished sometime in the next four to five years.

Located behind Dick’s Sporting Goods, the Westhampton Homes community offers amenities like a full-sized croquet court, concierge service and a 24-hour fitness center. Those who are interested in viewing one of the new Westhampton Home properties can call Joan Mennett at (216) 469-4777.
